My Baby Boy Is Growing Up... And Turning Another Year Older!

My baby boy turned 6 years old today!! Happy Birthday, Fixer! It is so hard to believe that it has been 6 years since I gave birth to him! :)

Well if you know our family at all, then you already know that we celebrate birthdays more than one day a year around here, it is a week long, two weeks long, and sometimes even a month long celebration! Fixer's birthday is no different. We started off by making a countdown chain for him so he could keep track of how many more days til his birthday. We began the chain last Friday and each day he has had fun pulling off the chain to see what fun thing we are going to do that evening and to count how many more remaining chains he had til his birthday. Lo and behold, he woke up with GREAT excitement this morning and pulled the final chain signifying his birthday! The final chain for today said that "mom is going to take you Burger King for lunch and eat with you at school". He was pretty excited about that and his classmates were all very excited to have me come up there as well and we had a great time. He even let me take a few pictures.

I'm not sure why the pictures turned out dark, but you get the idea. :) This weekend is going to be a weekend full of celebrations: tonight at McDonald's, tomorrow is his kid birthday party at an indoor park, and Sunday is church, eating at Burger King, and then back here for more cake and ice cream for his family birthday party! Whew, makes me tired just thinking of it, but I know he will have a blast all weekend! Stay tuned after all the festivities for more pictures!
